What would we do without government investigators or the media to uncover and report on the truth?

Answer: We’ll just do it ourselves.

The internet, even with all its downsides, has certainly done some interesting things for the way “normal” folks can do awesome things.  Are the authorities not doing their duty in investigating a (potential) murder case?  Covering things up are they?  Media not doing their jobs to honestly report facts and relevant current events?  No worries.  The centipedes and /pol/ are on top of things.

Just a couple examples from today.

On the Donald this morning, they were talking about Wikileaks’ twitter announcement: BREAKING: Sweden has dropped its case against Julian Assange and will revoke its arrest warrant

So now does Mr. Assange just need a pardon from Trump and he’ll actually get to leave the Embassy?  Some pedes seem to think leaving may be too dangerous for Assange even if that were possible, and that maybe it’s just a trap.  I almost wouldn’t put it past the pedes and/or /pol/ to somehow break Assange out of the Embassy and have him whisked away to some safe and undisclosed location.

Google, of course, failed me for any further information.  If you want truly breaking news, skip the news outlets, just go to the citizen investigators of the internet.

In other news, the centipedes and /pol/ are busy working to collect, archive and sift through every trace of Seth Rich on the internet (just one of many threads with them hard at work).  They’re analyzing his entire life and personality and picking out anything that would lead to confirmation that he was the source of the DNC leaks and was murdered for it.  As the circumstantial evidence amasses, it becomes increasingly easy to believe this “internet conspiracy theory.”

If it’s the so-called “unbiased media” and government officials — who we should supposedly be trusting over “weirdos” on the internet — who keep dishing out falsehoods and fake news, what are we supposed to think when the so-called “internet conspiracy theories” keep turning out to be true these days.  I’m not sure there is anything too weird and convoluted to believe, especially when it comes to politics.

The Left’s Counter Attack

If the Left was routed in the last election, they haven’t given up the fight.  They’re intent of fighting tooth and claw against Trump and all that his voters stand for and want for the US.  I thought this summary by the Family Research Council of how the Left is trying to undermine Trump and up the ante in the culture war sounded accurate (though not complete):

The Left is pulling out the stops to destroy President Trump and to stop conservatives any way they can.

Here are five ways the “Progressives” have intensified the war on your values and freedoms:

1) Igniting an explosion of propaganda sold to Americans as “news.” The mainstream media are overwhelmingly committed to undermining President Trump and the conservative cause. We now know that many supposedly nonpartisan journalists were heavily — even financially — committed to Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for president.

2) Destroying public trust and spreading confusion. The media are hard at work in supporting the leftist agitators by spewing “fake news” and sounding the alarm about nonexistent crises virtually every day — dutifully affirmed and repeated by liberals in Congress and statehouses across the nation — all designed to deceive the American people.

3) Unleashing lawless radicals in the streets and town meetings. It’s now evident that Barack Obama is behind the mobilization of tens of thousands of radical agitators to shout down conservative members of Congress when they hold town meetings back in their districts and states.

4) Maintaining a shadow government working against the American government. Obama appointees who are still serving as unelected bureaucrats inside the federal government are now working against the Trump White House, essentially operating as a sort of “shadow government” from within the government itself. A torrent of suspicious leaks, some of them endangering our national security, as well as several other outrages, have made it painfully clear that enemies of America are at work inside the federal bureaucracy.

5) Coordinating and unifying the falsehood and disruption. The Left is obviously unified in its anti-Trump messaging, and its attacks are clearly coordinated across the entire spectrum of liberal media platforms and organizations.

Take down your enemies with fake news and racist labels.

Sounds like this play has been in the books for a long time.  It’s in full swing today due to it’s usefulness – though we hope it’s over-usage is diminishing its effectiveness.  You can only sling so much mud until it doesn’t stick anymore or folks stop caring.  When everyone is covered with mud, who cares anymore?

I’m no baseball fan, but the story of how Ty Cobb’s reputation was ruined is illustrative. If someone has annoyed or angered you, if he’s your enemy in some way, what’s the best way to retaliate?  Just smear them in print with invented stories and call him racist. And remember, don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.

“If a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes accepted as fact.”

The Donald vs. the ‘Deep State’

If you haven’t heard of Ilana Mercer, I just ought to mention that she’s a terrible awful person.  Now that the PC nonsense is over with…

Pursuing an investigation of the Trump Administration on the grounds that it’s deeply corrupt is like accusing a newborn baby of stealing a sibling’s toys. Trump’s policy making “past” is a few weeks old; Trump’s political record a few months old. Donald Trump is a political newborn.

In the language of law, President Trump has no political criminal record. (Come to think of it, El Chapo has a cleaner criminal record than the last two American presidents. El-C had menaced and murdered fewer people than 43 or 44.)

Trump to Media: You lie and no one trusts you

It’s amazing how Trump called out the press in his most recent press conference  (2/16) and they turned around and did just what he said they would, that they would report negatively about the conference saying he was “ranting and raving.”  After I watched the conference, I did a search on responses quickly proving the President correct.  If you didn’t watch the whole thing yourself but only saw/read highlights filtered through the mainstream media, it paints an entirely different and largely off-putting picture of Trump and what he said.

One of the lamest things I came across was a journalist saying basically: I’m not saying he was ‘ranting and raving’ but that he “was confidently unhinged.”  This guy and many others are also not really getting some of Trump’s joking.  They have no sense of humor and take offense at everything imaginable.  Gimme a break guys.  You’re falling for it.  He’s making you look stupid to everyone except the people too dumb to realize YOU are the real purveyors of fake news.

Here’s a couple of the “least biased” commentaries:

Politico’s “Fact-Checking Donald Trump’s Feb. 16 press conference

And this from Wired about the focus on the media:How You Saw Trump’s Press Conference Depends on How You Watched

This isn’t false equivalence. The Timeses and CNNs of the world don’t have anywhere near as explicit a political agenda as the Breitbarts and Drudges. They’re not two sides. That’s what was on display in the aftermath of the press conference. They didn’t even cover the same things. They told different stories.

So which is it? Trump’s press conference was undignified, unpresidential, and weirdly directed at the media instead of the country he leads. But his supporters saw a display of power by a president sloughing off the manacles of coastal elitism. Thanks to the accelerated hyper-partisanship of a social media-powered news cycle, the country is now seeing double.

Disney Drops PewDiePie and YouTube Distances Itself After Reports of Anti-Semitic Videos

The Disney-owned Maker Studios and YouTube have pulled away from PewDiePie, one of the video platform’s most popular stars, after a report that he had posted several videos featuring anti-Semitic imagery.

Maker Studios said on Monday that it had severed ties with the star, Felix Kjellberg, a Swede better known by his YouTube alias PewDiePie, while YouTube said on Tuesday that it had canceled the release of a coming series and dropped him from a premier advertising program.

The announcements came after The Wall Street Journal reported that Mr. Kjellberg had posted nine anti-Semitic videos since August.

“Although Felix has created a following by being provocative and irreverent, he clearly went too far in this case, and the resulting videos are inappropriate,’’ a Maker Studios spokeswoman said in a statement on Monday. “Maker Studios has made the decision to end our affiliation with him going forward.”

On Tuesday, a YouTube spokeswoman said the service was canceling the release of “Scare PewDiePie Season 2,” a sequel to an original YouTube series, and dropping PewDiePie from Google Preferred, a program that offers advertisers access to its most popular channels.

So who is Pewdiepie? Only THE most popular YouTuber.  He’s got a measly 53, 381,106 subscribers.  He made 15 MILLION DOLLARS last year.  Do you really think someone with that amount of clout and money is going to back down?

Nope.

I honestly do not like Pewdiepie and that is the first of his videos that I managed to get all the way through, but if he’s going to throw his weight into redpilling Generation Z (it’s been claimed that most of his subscribers are 20 and under), then more power to him.
